Sports
Sport plays a major part in the life of the school and our teams and individuals enjoy success locally and at county, regional and national level. Team sports include hockey, netball, football, tag rugby, basketball, ultimate, cricket, tennis, rounders, cross country, horse riding and athletics. There are over 350 fixtures a year in these sports. Team practices take place during lunchtimes and also after school. Parents are most welcome to cheer on the school teams both at home and away fixtures and to join the staff and team for teas at home fixtures.

On site, the school has pitches for football, hockey, cricket and tag rugby, a cross-country course and athletics track, netball and tennis courts. The sports hall is available for basketball, gymnastics, volleyball and badminton and is also home to the fitness suite which includes treadmill, rowing and weights machines and exercise bike. There is also an indoor heated swimming pool.

The school is divided into three houses: Drake, Scott and Hillary. House competitions in all sports including swimming are fiercely contested and are geared to include as many participants as possible.

Other activities include visits to the Market Bosworth Water Trust for windsurfing, canoeing and sailing. We also encourage members of the sixth form to follow activities outside lesson times which could include dance, horse riding, table tennis and hikes.
